I am glad you`re back :) I missed my gym buddy! Maybe I'll get myself to do cardio again now - Biking until Angela has finished the dress was the deal back in the day. And no peaking at new videos until gym time.
I was so glad to see you return! You are amazing at your craft and I love hearing you break down your sewing so meticulously. Thank you for coming back 😊
Thanks so much for the second part ! Great job, as usual !
Well done, you have made a fabulous dress, it’s very dramatic and the textures of the fabrics adds so much to the finished costume. I have an obsession with Dragons too, I blame the PERN books, by Anne Macaffrey. It’s so lovely to see you back Angela.
How Amazing and impresive the dress is, I am always very surprise of how perfeccionist you are. Thank you for the video, i am sooo glad to see you back doing videos. I´ve been subscribe for years and see you back with your videos totally enlight my world. Thank You Angela.
So glad you're back. Thank you and be proud.
You can´t figure out the joy that brings to my heart seeing you again, you are the sweetest heart behind the sewers internet world (all are lovely ladies but let me take this opinion out) I really wish you the very best. An idea: you can do a fabric haul next time you go to a a store in case it pleases you, of course, Iam open to all the new that is coming.
Binging your videos kept me going through a particularly rough time, so of course you are the kind of person who deserves kindness
It's great to see you, and love your voice overs !
They have the heart button so that you don't have to comment ❤️
I'm so happy for you and for your subscribers for the wonderfully supportive community you've created and cultivated. I hope you can believe us when we say that it's thanks to your wonderful personality and creativity that we are all here and it's what makes this part of the internet amazing. You are truly remarkable.
I'm so glad to see you back and creating! But please don't stress yourself out about all of it. Your mental health is important, so please take care of yourself.
As somebody who also struggles with depression and anxiety (on top of having autism, fun times) and who is usually very creative on better mental health days..... I can't even imagine being able to create something as intricate and stunning as this dress. Just, wow. I would consider creating that stunning dress as a huge win over your mental health issues <3
I am usually not interested in dresses or costume-making, and I can barely sew on a button. But the costumes in House of the Dragon are SO incredibly beautiful and intricate they often literally distract me from the scene sometimes. Your dragon dress looks amazing! 😍
Miss you lots!
Brilliant dress :) You are amazing !
Don't ever think you don't deserve kindness sweetheart depression is a disease none of us choose. You should be so proud of yourself for managing this project.sending lots of love and hugs from England
I'm just so glad to see you again, take care Angela!
Clumsy!? I love it! I think this absolutely feels like something a queen or aristocrate lady would have worn in medival Fantasy land would wear. Late Medival clothing was heavy/reinnasance . Women had difficulty moving around and the patriarchy liked it that way. They weren't supposed to they were supposed to sit, be decorative and do embroidery, drawing, singing and converse intelligently. Other than the dancing thing. So if you feel it's heavy it definitely corresponds to the real thing. Lol. Anyhoo i love it! Think it's amazing!
Amazing work - you're so clever and appreciated
What a fabulous outfit! Thank you for posting this set of videos.
So happy that you are back and creating. I’ve missed your videos, but please take it easy and don’t push yourself too hard as you get back into the swing of things. ❤️
I absolutely love this dress
First off I really like your hair color. I'm proud of you. You did a great job with your dress. You also should be proud of yourself for all of the work you put into yourself. I'm sorry for what ever life has thrown at you. Tomorrow is another day just keep swimming. We'll be swimming too. Life is hard and worth every moment. Love your content
I'm so happy to see you sewing again and posting here! Finding joy in things you love is one of the hardest things (along with all of the other things) of depression. I don't know about anyone else, but I will be a happy subscriber and watcher to your channel as long as you are willing to share with us. Take your time and be gentle with yourself. 💖 I hope you find all the ruffles you want in your life.
The finished dress looks fantastic. I could so see a character in House of the Dragon wearing it. I love all the fabrics, trims and especially the 3 chains holding the front edges of the bodice together. I would love to see a dragon-riding costume of pants, top and cloak. With boots, hat and long gloves to protect against the cold and the dragon scales.
Your amazing ❤❤. Your work is awesome hugs
I know what it feels like to try and push through when the depression sets in and your world goes dark, and I applaud you for taking the time away to take care of yourself. This dress is fantastic, and it is fantastic seeing you excited to sew again!
The ending was so heartfelt that i cried. I feel unworthy for the support i receive and fight the same debilitating depression. Welcome back
So glad you're back. You've been missed. I've looked for you and hoped you'd be back some day. Thanks for posting.
The world needs more kindness, but you have created here a space of kindness for both yourself and for us to share with each other. I hope you and whoever else that may read this comment knows you are worthy of kindness and respect regardless of what you or others might think. Often the voices in our head that say terrible things are louder than the nice voices from other people, just know those voices are only telling you lies and find one kind thing to say to yourself a day. You made an amazing dress Angela! I loved the way it came out and so what if it’s a little costumey, I think it leans more towards some kind of court regalia from a fantasy novel. I would love to see a matching surcoat, and heck yes to more dragon themed outfits! Those photos at the end just really captures the vibes of an evil but beautiful queen and I love it. Hopefully we will be seeing you again soon, sending you big virtual hugs and a huge we’re glad your back cheer!
I squealed when I saw your first video because I was so excited to see you up again! This design came out amazing and always goes above my expectations, you really are so talented. I'm excited to share with you that my wedding dress is actually going to be your French style gown you made so many years ago! M7885, my moms going to help me and we have some amazing fabrics picked out for it. They reminded me of you and how you can easily bling something up and add so much dimension! If you ever need time you take time, I will always be here to support!
So happy you're back
Hopefully it won't be itchy, because that is what lining is for. :-) 😍😍 Words to live by. :-) I love your sense of humor. Your hair is wonderful....just like you. I think I could watch you read the phone book, you are just so fun.
I'm so happy you're making again! Excited for your future projects.
This is amazing!!! You made something absolutely stunning. And you’re freaking hilarious as always!!
Yay! So happy that you accomplished all of those steps and finished the dress and the video! You are wonderful and loved and I pray that you feel the truth of that.
I am so happy to see you and I hope all stays well 💜
It turned out AMAZING! You're your own worst critic... <3 I love it, and you did great! Also, I may be an internet stranger, but I'm SO SO PROUD of you for being so open about mental stuff, which I know is super hard! You're still here, still creating, which means you're STRONG! Big big hug and please don't feel pressured to respond! <3
Very happy to see you creating again. Hope this means you're doing better and looking forward to whatever dragon-obsession inspired pieces you share with us! <3
SWEET ANGELA. I'm so glad you're still going. The fight isn't easy, god knows it's kicked me in the face just as hard but the fact you've been able to get back up and do this again? That's something to be celebrated for certain. It Deserves to be celebrated. Tuck these all these messages close into your heart because every time the voices try to go weheh you've got more ammo than they could ever defeat. <3
Now I get why clothes were meticulously hand-washed!
You deserve all the kindness in the world. People follow you because you inspire them and they relate to you. We love you, Ang.
Anyone that throws shade about you avoiding measuring must be jealous they have to take the time, lol. I think it's awesome. I love seeing drastically different approaches to the same problem. It helps me understand it better.
I missed your channel so much. This really came at a wonderful time for me, and I absolutely love the way you've brought this dress to life.
I’m so happy to see you! Your mental health is so important! Love the dress! As usual your imagination and skills pulled me in and I am amazed! You’re so talented! I’ve been here since the pandemic and I’ll be around as long as you keep sharing your amazing ideas. (No matter how long in between postings!) Be well sweetie! See you next time!
Oh babes, you're breaking my heart at the end! You SO deserve the love you receive!! I know I speak for many of us when I say we follow because your love and passion shines through in everything you do. I do understand the depression leading to a lack of making, I myself have been struggling with that a lot. Without trauma dumping, I have a progressive chronic illness that lead to me no longer being able to hold a job in summer 2019, and not really being able to vend or do customs by 2021. I've been fighting to get disability income and that whole process is "prove you're worthless" which can be incredibly demoralizing, so that piles on top and makes it hard to make things. I'm sure my friends are screaming to take my own advice here, but even if it's sewing square quilts or cloth napkins, starting things you never intend to finish just because the feel of the fabric in your hands is comforting, heck even finger painting... Doing someone to scratch the creative itch can help spark that fire of passion again. As silly as it sounds, I decided to try making a franken-plushie backpack based on one in the boarder print of a lolita skirt, decided I hated it, and made a plushie for a friend that complimented it instead. Then I spent weeks making single Kandi bracelets in pride flag colors and each color of the rainbow to pass out because I know how much serotonin I get seeing the look of surprise joy I get from people that I give them to. That pushed me to actually go to the pride festival here when I haven't attended in years because of my health/anxiety! I handed out all but 6 to people who's outfit matched them and got a lot of joyful cries and so much enjoyment in just the 2-3 hours I was able to be there. Now I want to make whole cross stitch style pictures from pony beads even though I know I'll never finish a project and end up passing them on in the ADHD crafter group! 😂 I guess what I'm saying is, take your time on big things or make tiny things that bring you a bit of joy, we'll still be here to cheer you on. ❤
I'm a relatively new subscriber since I happened upon your dragon dress sometime last year and subbed then. You make wonderful creations! Honestly I think it looks fantastic! As hard as it can be, we all need to remember to give ourselves some kindness especially when we are struggling to feel like we deserve it. Take that moment to see yourself as a scared little puppy in a big scary place, who just needs a gentle pat on the head and let yourself except that kindness from yourself. That's something I've been working on for myself, so I thought I'd share. :) No reply needed, sharing in your video how much you appreciate the viewers, supporters and commenters was very sweet.
I'm so glad that you feel up to creating again! Thank you for sharing. I think the dress turned out beautifully ❤
welcome back Angela!! I hope this is the beginning of a successful recovery for you <3
